…I wanted to show how our knowledge of things begins by starting to look at things ‘actively’ – as opposed to a ‘passive’, empty seeing.

As with a puzzle, my task is to methodically reconstruct a legible image, piece by piece. Each piece requires the patient work of fitting it in, interlocking it with other pieces, measuring and contrasting it and, if it does not fit, to store it for later use.
